Counselling & creative wellness
Sometimes life becomes heavier than we expected.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted. Perhaps something has changed—a relationship, your health, your family, school, work, or simply the way you see yourself. You might know that something is not quite right without knowing exactly how to explain it.
Or perhaps you are concerned about a child or teenager who seems worried, overwhelmed, withdrawn or simply not themselves.
Counselling offers a place to slow down and explore what is happening without needing to arrive with all the answers. I work collaboratively with children ages 5+, adolescents and adults, adapting counselling to each person’s needs, strengths, experiences and goals.
Children 5+
Creative and developmentally responsive counselling for children experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem difficulties, school-related concerns and significant changes.
Conversation, Art Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy can offer additional ways to communicate and make sense of experiences.
Adolescents
A supportive space to explore anxiety, stress, relationships, identity, self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, school concerns and life transitions.
Counselling may include conversation and creative expression depending on the young person’s interests, comfort and needs.
Adults
Support for anxiety, burnout, grief, relationships, identity, emotional overwhelm and significant life transitions.
Our work can help you understand what is happening, reconnect with what matters and move toward meaningful change.
My approach
There is no single way counselling needs to look
I draw from evidence-informed approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy. Sometimes we will talk. Sometimes we might explore through images, metaphor, writing or another form of creative expression. Often, we may combine approaches.
You don’t need the “right words,” and you don’t need to be artistic. You simply need a place to begin.
